It may sound a little strange but I enjoy walking around in old historical cemeteries. This one is beneath the Tube station Hallesches Tor; in its beginnings it was situated right out of the city. A lot of famous people are buried here - for example Moses Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, the famous composer.

I lived in London for a few years (I'm from Australia) and used to live near what looked liked a very very old graveyard. I set off to visit it one day expecting to see tombstones with dates like 1345 and the like, since London has been around for thousands of years, but was very disappointed to see dates less than 150 years old! I do like walking around cemeteries though... they're usually very peaceful places :)
Thanks a lot for your interesting comment, John!
